| The hotel lies on the Cerro del Emperador in a beautiful area called Los Cigarrales. Not far from the city are some outstanding defensive structures, the Mudejar Castle of Maqueda being the most obvious example. To the north is the town of Illescas, with a fine Mudejar tower, a gothic church and splendid paintings by El Greco. Orgaz, to the south, has a castle worth seeing and an 18th century church. |

| The cuisine is a faithful reflection of the rich delights of the region, a hunter's paradise and the seat of one of the largest vineyards on earth. Toledan style stewed partridge, "duelos y quebrantos" (egg dish) and Toledan punch feature among a selection of dishes which have a strong local flavour. Its traditional sweets play an important part of the menu, especially its marzipans. |

| The Parador due its location id the viewpoint over the city, offering an incomparable panoramic view of the monumental profile of Toledo. It is a country house and enjoys some marvellous panoramic views. Confortable furniture is included with wooden beams, strair cases and banisters and Mudejar elements on rug tiling. |
